Health experts urging the use of rapid antigen COVID-19 testing for frontline workers

Health authorities should urgently introduce COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for high-risk frontline workers, experts say, following the positive test of an aircrew driver in Sydney.

“If we aren’t going to enforce mandatory vaccination for frontline workers then we need to bridge the possible 24-hour gap where tests are done but results are pending,” said Dr Ian Norton, a former head of WHO’s emergency medical team.
