Rapid antigen test (RAT) screening of aged care staff entering a residential or aged care facility during times of local COVID-19 community transmission allows essential care and resident support to continue uninterrupted.
Antigen tests provide the following benefits:
Respond Global has been selected by the Australian Government to lead the implementation of rapid antigen testing in aged care facilities in Greater Sydney. Beginning on Monday 16th August at the Uniting Bankstown Aged Care Facility the programme will roll out progressively to others. Respond Global will provide facilities with training and protocols in using the tests.
The program extends on the trial conducted at Whiddon in Glenfield, also led by Respond Global, the outcome of which has given aged care workers more confidence to go to work knowing that they’re not putting others at risk. Our support included providing testing protocols, training staff in their use, and virtual walkthroughs to set up testing stations.
