All-Hazards Disaster Planning & Preparedness

Expert Advisors

Respond Global provides comprehensive executive and incident management decision support to organisations during disasters, with the flexibility of on-site or remote collaboration. The company’s experienced emergency managers work closely with senior leaders to establish effective incident control frameworks, build high-performing incident management teams, and provide expert coaching and decision support to in-house incident controllers and CEOs in high-pressure situations.

The service typically lasts three to four days, during which the in-house teams can gain a clear understanding of their roles, effectively utilize the tools and techniques provided, and receive safe mentoring during critical decision-making processes throughout the disaster response.

Operations Support

??

Respond Global are experts in providing operations support in all areas of health crisis response, including designing and establishing emergency operations centres and quarantine facilities, developing and implementing health screening and immunisation programs, and providing IPC and WASH solutions.

We can support the development of incident response plans, emergency medical teams (EMTs), and Health Emergency Operation Centres, to ensure an all hazards approach to outbreak disaster and mass casualty incident response planning.

IMS in Health

??

Respond Global has developed a Health Incident Management Response Team kit that is an “Incident Management Team in a box”. This kit includes tool, templates and equipment required to rapidly set up an incident control room and establish an incident management team.

Rapid Response

??

Rapid response teams and workforce surge capacity to ensure care requirements are maintained in times where local workforces may have been impacted and are unavailable. Our local and global team of health crisis response experts are available for deployment to provide assistance in the preparedness and response to crises when and if they happen. Respond Global can provide 24/7 critical incident support both virtually and in the field. Telehealth services are also available.

Simulations

Frequent rehearsal of your plans and procedures is critical to ensure that when disaster strikes your institution is prepared, and that the roles and responsibilities of the responding team are clear and practiced. Respond Global can assist to define an annual simulation plan that outlines the key critical plans and processes that require rehearsal and at what intervals. We can also facilitate the delivery of all aspects of the simulation exercise, including scenario building, inject creation, role and actor management, venue and facility management, in-action communications and post exercise summary reports.

After Action Reviews

After Action Reviews generally focus on contrasting the actions undertaken as part of the response with the strategies, plans and procedures describing how action should have been taken. It assesses whether there was any difference between these, and seeks to assess the impact (positive or negative) of any deviation from planned actions. Our team can facilitate an AAR by conducting a series of interviews with the members of your organisation who were involved in the management of a critical incident, to provide a comprehensive report containing interview data, analysis, insights and actionable recommendations for your consideration.

What our clients say

“We genuinely appreciate the time and effort that the Respond Global team put into what was probably the most gruelling and difficult drilling campaign ever undertaken by many of the Beach Energy team, due to the impact of COVID-19. The amazing work that was done to translate an extremely complex and unprecedented problem into plain English, in a very short time period, helped us to forge a clear path through a period of huge uncertainty. Respond Global’s support helped give us the confidence to get the team over the line and successfully complete the project.”
