Abigail Trewin, Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia

We are extremely proud to congratulate our Director of Advisory and Education, Abigail Trewin, for being awarded a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia, on the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours List.

Abi was awarded this incredible honour in recognition of her significant service to the community through disaster response organisations. Her work includes leading countless natural disaster and health emergency responses as an AUSMAT Mission Lead and as a COVID-19 Mission Lead with the Australian Government.

Abi’s amazing work extends to senior positions held in the WHO, and most significantly, as Director for Disaster Preparedness and Response at the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre, Darwin.

This well-deserved and prestigious award recognises a profound contribution to our nation.
