Testing has played a big part in the global response to COVID-19, but PCR tests are expensive with slow turnaround times. Rapid antigen testing (RAT) is the solution. With results in 15 minutes and the tests performed at home or onsite, businesses can avoid staff depletion while awaiting PCR test results. Importantly, RATs identify those who are most infectious but showing the least symptoms and are most effective when repeated regularly, ideally twice a week or even daily during periods of high transmission.

Respond Global has been heavily involved in the COVID-19 response since early 2020, supporting the coordination of the Commonwealth response to the Victorian aged care crisis, managing crew quarantine aboard the Ruby Princess, and supplying antigen tests and screening protocols to the Howard Springs quarantine facility as well as to a number of leading aged care, tourism and resource companies.
